Important information about import duties for shipments to the United States
When you place an order with Knivesandtools and have it shipped to the United States, additional costs may be charged by U.S. Customs. These costs are separate from any standard taxes or shipping fees shown during checkout.
🔍 What extra costs may apply?
U.S. Customs may charge import duties and/or customs fees.
The amount depends on:
• The type of product
Some product categories, such as knives, tools, or metal parts, fall under specific tariff rates.
• The country of origin
Products manufactured in countries like China may be subject to higher duties due to additional U.S. import tariffs.
• The total value of the shipment
Including shipping costs, depending on customs regulations.
💸 Who pays these costs?
Any import duties are charged to the customer by U.S. Customs.
Knivesandtools has no influence over these costs and cannot calculate them in advance.
The carrier will inform you once the package is processed by customs.
These fees must be paid before the order can be delivered.

🚫 What happens if import fees are not paid?
If you choose not to pay the required import taxes or customs fees, the shipment may be returned to us or incur additional handling or return charges from the carrier.
