A pan usually warps because of large temperature changes or overheating. This is not covered by warranty. Think something else caused it? We're happy to take a look.
How does a pan warp?
- Heating or cooling too quickly: for example, heating it very quickly, which happens more often on induction, or pouring cold water into a hot pan. The shock warps the steel, making the base concave or convex. Large pans and carbon steel pans are particularly prone to this.
- Overheating: if a pan stays on the hob too long without anything cooking in it, the heat has nowhere to go. It becomes hotter than it was designed to withstand. The pan usually warps and can sometimes even break.
Damage caused in these ways is not covered by warranty. Read more in Warranty explained.
