It is, of course, inconvenient if your wooden cutting board has warped, is cracked or torn.
The advantage of wooden cutting boards is that they are good to your knives and, of course, look amazing. The disadvantage is that they need to be maintained. From cleaning to regularly adding a coat of oil.
The oil ensures that two things don't happen: that juices are not absorbed and leave behind mould and bacteria. It also ensures that the wood won't work as much and is, as such, less prone to bend. We have written a practical topic about what it entails.
Because it is a natural product, and because maintenance is key, the movement of the wood is not a part of the warranty, unless it can be proved that all maintenance steps were taken.
Do you feel like the problem is not a result of use, but is a production or material flaw? We will, of course, help you with this. Please contact our customer service department.
We love to receive photographs (if we don't have those already) and a complete description of the maintenance and use. Our specialist will take a closer look and we will tell you more about the next step as soon as possible.
